Ocean State Showdown: Schedule and Waiver

WEATHER PROTOCOL
 
Lightning Protocol: 5 Short Air Horns = Game Delay = Shelter in CARS 
  • If Lightning is detected within 8 miles of the facility, we will suspend play. 
  • Families should shelter in cars and not leave up any tents or at least take off the tent tops 
  • Sheltering under a popup tent is not Safe. We ask for your assistance in ensuring your families abide by this. 
  • If the game has played at least 1 half, the score and game will be considered final and play will resume with the next game slot. If the game is suspended in the 1st half, the half will be over (the score will be maintained) and play will resume with the 2nd half upon All Clear. 
All Clear and Schedule Adjustments:
 
We will give an All Clear and communicate an updated schedule when there is no lightning for 30 minutes within an 8 mile radius. Depending on the length of delay and time of day, we may adjust/shorten/cut games or potentially move some Saturday games to Sunday. We appreciate your flexibility on this in advance.
 
How we will communicate:
 
#1: Tourney Machine Note: Please make sure to click the yellow square icon in top right of the app to read the note for updates. 
 
#2: Email - we will send an email to all program contacts who have teams at the site(s) affected when 1) we go into a lightning delay/heat related adjustment and 2) when we are able to come out of a delay/adjustment with updated schedules.
 
We will get Tourney Machine schedules updated as soon as possible after a delay but will use on site communication and the above 2 methods first. 
 
We will do our best to get in games if weather does hit. It is the one thing we cannot control but will work through this and appreciate your flexibility in advance should we have any weather issues.

  • 19 Minute Running Halves, 3 Minute Haftimes
  • 1 Timeout per game (clock runs, can't use timeout in last 4 minutes of the game)
